How?

can you be so anti-social that you see yourself as a imaginary creature?

well being a furry doesn't mean your anti social. it means you have a passion for antromophic animals

That's called otherkin, not furries. Otherking meaning when you identify as half human and half of some sort of animal, regardless of being real or not.

Furries are people who like anthropomorphic animals, which are humanized versions of a regular animal.

Being furries or bronies or whatever, if you like that sort of thing be my guess, but when you go dressing as one without any context in a public place, just don't be surprised that people judge you.

I have neutral feelings of it, not because people like anthropomorphic animals, that i don't mind it since i've seen people who like weirder shit ..

But.. you know ..  <_< there a limit .. shark tits

Other than that, there's no problem. I even enjoyed Dust: An Elysian Tale and was very impressed by it since it was basically made by one person

But why tho, i mean, everyone likes animals but why do you have to make it look humanoid? thats what i never understood, as for the topic, its just meh, as long as the people dont wear it as a flag that they carry everywhere and shove it in people's faces i dont care, as long as you dont harm or annoy anyone, im cool with it, so i only have problems with the ones that scream it for everyone to know, its like, bro, chill we dont care, just keep it with the people that share your interests and thats it, then  again you could say the same about every fandom.

I honestly don't care if you're a furry, but if you have to shove it in my face and brag about it, then we're going to have a problem.

The real answer is who the fuck should care.

In the words of Filthy Frank: You can do whatever the fuck you want. Just don't bring that shit near me.

Personally, I don't have a problem with it. It's none of my business why you do in your free time. If you have a thing for anthropomorphic animals, that's fine. I don't see why I should have any significant opinion one way or another.

As far as I'm concerned - don't shove it in my face, and we'll get along just fine.

I will not openly express my discontent with furries or other comparable fandoms, but I do not like them. Every furry, and I do mean every, that I've met online and in real life were annoying, inconsiderate, selfish, or generally unpleasant to be around. It's gotten to the point where if someone adds me with an anthropomorphic animal as their avatar, or they openly state they are a furry, I'm already anticipating the whole encounter will be dreadful.

By having that humanoid dragon as your avatar, and making this thread asking other people's opinion on furries, you are putting a spotlight on yourself and your interests. You could just be self conscious about your own hobby, but I think a safer bet is that you just like the attention. It's not humbling, and it backs up my already narrow views on things I find degenerative.

I love their cartoon porn, though.

Its all fun and games, kinda like bronies. Its all good until someone tries to force it on others, if that doesnt happen im good with everyone (except kkk)

I could care less tbh. Ive seen many disturbing things and furries dont even make my list. Just people and their hobbies. You dont have to act like they are filth of the earth and you are better.

I dont even care if they force it on me. I just nod and walk away. Its not that hard and it should be the response to human beings that you dont agree with. Plain and simple.

I don't care as long as you don't sexualize it. I can sort of understand why people hide behind fake personas, sort of like being anonymous online. I was the school mascot once, and that was pretty fucking fun.

However, don't fucking post your furry stuff to facebook or even mention it to people unless you want to be judged negatively.

I think the ones who keep to themselves are fine.

The ones who start acting sexual and NSFW pictures, is when I get disgusted.  Like Caboose said, how can you think you're an animal. Doesn't seem right to me, but if you want to practice that, keep it to yourself

I'm actually legitimately curious as to why there are furries. I mean like bronies have MLP and weebs have anime, but I never understood why there are furries.

"my friend is a furry lel"

Personally I don't have a positive or negative view on furries, they freak me out a little bit with all their "furvert" stuff, but at the same time it's sort of like being an anime fan with it's fan service (notthatimagainstthatatall). But, that one Jay Z quote applies to everyone I've met:

"I'm a mirror. If you're cool with me, I'm cool with you, and the exchange starts. What you see is what you reflect. If you don't like what you see, then you've done something. If I'm standoffish, that's because you are."

EDIT: Also this'll probably be GB'd, or at least moved from politics, religion, and science
