Give me some basic parameters (Genre, Location, Time Period, etc.) and I can spout you out a series for you to watch. Don't ever watch harems. I really love Death Note, it's really tense at times and it has an amazing soundtrack, and best part, it is all available on YouTube so you don't have to go on annoying sites with ads. Really cartoony though. Try the common end ones: -one piece -naruto -fairy tail -attack on titan -sword art online these are well known and common. Same artist as Gurren Lagann, you will be able to tell.
