What happened to Mannco.store?

I think you already have experience in this, have you changed your mind about using other people's bots?

Not sure what situation you're referring to, but there's a risk of getting scammed no matter how you go about selling TF2 items for cash.

I really benefit from the opportunity to sell my TF2 items to a large customer base so no matter what ends up happening with this debacle I will likely continue using mannco.store and other similar services.

Stolen items are already being dumped on some shaddy russian marketplace and resold to bots for keys. (will keep this post updated)

Have tracked these items :

https://backpack.tf/item/11945984928 Glowing Fireworks Detective

https://i.imgur.com/jxh1wIN.jpeg Sold for $34 then QS to Scrapyard

https://backpack.tf/item/12043188945 C9 HKC

https://i.imgur.com/AtM0vwd.png Sold for $83 then QS to QS.store

https://backpack.tf/item/2057369137 Spellbound Tough Muffs

Sold for $70 😮 , hasn't popped again yet

https://backpack.tf/item/3275361099 Molten Mallard Exe

Sold for $44, QS to QS.store

https://backpack.tf/item/5270539562 Hellish Inferno Mannrobics

Sold for $27, popped here https://backpack.tf/profiles/76561198999159432 among other scammed items (all bought from the russian Marketplace). No red flag on the user though

https://backpack.tf/item/4452987121 Emerald Mannrobics

Sold for $27 then to stn

Weirdest history : https://backpack.tf/item/2033626977 Sold for $42, gotten back to the original mannco's seller

These items didn't show in hackers' inventories previously found, so the hack might be even huger than expected.

Haven't found the keys related to the trades yet, could help to find some more hackers' fences

When gladiator got hit it was the security problem so steam wouldnt do a thing. There was a cs collector that got hacked BUT it was a steam fault so they tracked Down every item even the onec that Sold on marketplaces and stuff and gave it back. Well if the mannco store situation is happening becouse steam "helped" them they will redo all the trades. But its likley that they didint learn their lesson with gladiator...

I'm a bit curious, since I've read a bit of law from my country a bit ago regarding debt n stuff. I know this ain't exactly debt, but it's like taking money from a bank: someone must get the people their money back, the bank mostly.
Having said this: does the page state anything regarding this type of situations in their TOS, Legals or whatever? Could be a heads up of what could happen / what cannot happen.
I've seen my dad get scammed of a $250 Huntsman via the Paypal method some years ago and I felt a ton of pain, I can't imagine what people that lost items way, way more expensive here must be feeling like. Hope they can get at least the $ back.

this is so sad. I used to cashout through mannco.store, fortunately I only lost $20

stealing is one of the most disgusting things a human can do

I can't imagine the pain of the owners who had lost their expensive gems deposited there

Steam will never restore any trades "You don't use scm, then you have to bear all the risks"

Valve now just allow us to export our steam wallet to paypal and now we dont need marketplace or mannco

I really feel bad for the victims. How could manncostore even fix this.

Honestly, they got to pay back the victims. They need to take the hit, Slime. Like seriously, we trusted mann co to hold our items and this happens. From here on, I believe the only person you can trust with your items is simply yourself. Be cautious y'all and good luck.

I always used their site to get better deals on items because i assume most of the people using it are in countries with weaker currencies than the US dollar. I even switched my card to a different bank years ago just to use mannco because everytime i would checkout my card would think its fraud. Obviously marketplace is way easier to use especially paypal not needing fucking kinguin as a processor.

Its a shame that each year we have to lose more and more alternatives to backpack and marketplace because it just means less users will be willing to sell their items. I know thats a major reason so many of these valuable items are on mannco to begin with, its because the seller is banned on backpack. Doubt theyd be allowed to sell their stuff on marketplace and would have to resort to steam market now.

explanation: in the late 90s people prepared for y2k as if it was going to bring the end of the world, then 2000 came and nothing happened. so all of those people that helped prevent it were put out of their jobs and this overspending meant that nobody would buy a pc for several years. this resulted in the dot-com bubble burst to accelerate. the joke's that the mann.co security team resembles this kind of skeleton it team during the intermediary period between y2k and dot.com bubble burst. this joke was way more funny in my head. i apologize for this

Wasn't mannco store shady from the start? Heard they DDOS bp.tf before?

Maybe this is an inside job?

Ngl I've heard about this in FirePowered yesterday. I thought it was some personal vendetta enacted by some Karma.

I offered the Spellbound Tyrants owner around 3,200 keys pure but was declined due to his paranoia in potentially getting scammed, even though I had an inventory worth 30x+ more than his item and 300+ cash trading rep. He then doubled his listing price to around $12,000 and had it sit there for over a year only to be hacked/scammed. Irony.

He was paranoid about you sending a normal trade 💀. Mf deserved to get scammed

i stated before why i dont think its an inside job as it will inevitable kill the site and have people list less on it or less high ticket items
