Are keys finally gonna stabilize?

Keys are roughly tied to the paypal price of ref which will always drop even if very slowly.  I think someone had theorized there is a barrier due to craft hats  and the scm helps buff the trade value of some goods but that has only a minor effect on the paypal price of ref.  I think I stopped trading when it was around 15 ref per key and the lowest I paid is around 3.55 ref for one I think but items traded for a ton more.  Others remember when it was less than 2 ref for a key.  The complaint about the trade price of keys comes from players who don't put some money into the game.  They rely on drops to gain things in the game which isn't a viable thing without nonexistent patience.  For those players, buy two keys, get the most ref you can for them and trade for items like the Well Wrapped Hat.  Sell those on scm where 3~ hats gets you a key (ref cost is 24~).  There are plenty of items like that, just go look for them.  After awhile you will turn 2 keys into 3 and so on.  There has always been a disparity in the scm price and trade price that can be exploited.  This is due to people wanting the convenience that the scm offers.  The price of things are what they are and the economy won't crash because there is a solid base of players and new players continue to get this high quality ftp game (although the absurdly inflated price of gen 1 effects was always bs to me and then there was that Samson Skewer incident).
