Ban user �Skapas?

This user has been banned by community vote before. If I may take the body of the post when that happened: 

 

So... â¤Î£ÎºÎ±Ï€Î±Î½Î­Î±Ï‚|Gr|â¤. You guys have probably seen the poorly phrased comments all over the high end pricing suggestions. The user claims to have experience in practically everything, while not posting proof. Looking at their profile, (http://backpack.tf/u/76561198002055092), one can see that they have around 50% accuracy, but more importantly, a history of attempting to manipulate prices, most recently of the Vintage Bill's. I own one, and I would gain from it going up, and I still find it appalling that a person would try and be this blatant about it. http://backpack.tf/vote/id/5139ce794bd7b8011b000001 is a good example of this.

 

What I want to know is what are your opinions on this matter.

As it can be seen, he clearly does not understand the concepts that are so easily laid out for him. He avoids questions that would undermine the accuracy of his suggestion, and replies in a pissed-off, often sarcastic tone.

 

he is trying to manipulate the price of it is so obvious he have spammed my suggestions with all his alt acounts so much i had to close them 4 times in a day..
and he is refusing to add in the proofs the most recent sell(your link for 3 pure buds claiming it was an outlier,

price manipulating in its greatness

So, what do you think? Personally, I think this guy needs a permanent ban. After I had counterproven a suggestion of his, he added me and immediately shot off a couple insults. He is clogging suggestions with useless comments, not listening to constructive comments, and in general doesn't understand people or the site, or even math for that matter.

I'm pretty sure Vincent said somewhere that backpack.tf does not succumb to mob rule. Maybe this was on a thread to ban someone else, probably Long.

Vincent did, however, say that moderators will deal with users appropriately and will place bans if necessary.

Whilst i would agree, mods have alot of things to deal with and sometimes they may miss the obvious offender the vote doesnt ban people it raises awareness to the mods onthe offender's questionable activity. The mod may or may not decide to bann the user thenn

Read the post I linked in the OP. He got a week ban about two days after that thread got put up.

Still doesn't give this thread reason to exist.  If someone's posting useless comments on the suggestions - don't start a big fuss about it on the forums, just downvote and move on.  Report them if you really want, but there's no need to make a poll to see how many people want this guy banned.  That's just childish.

First of all, there is no downvote button. This isn't reddit. And the same logic can be easily applied to your post; if you don't agree with the idea, simply vote no, and move on.

 

None of us here (so far) are mods. We are people, frequent users of backpack.tf and its voting system, and we are making our opinion heard. Pilltacular had an opinion, and wanted to see if other people agreed with him; he's making people aware there's an issue, rather than being childish. For you to attack him with flawed logic and a Straw Man argument is rude. You are equating him asking for other people's opinions into him making a thread to get a user banned, and then attacking that position.

even though i fought him i dont think he needs a ban. he can manipulate how much he'd like. its the mods job to see that he is.

Report things like this directly to a mod. Community voting has not, can't, and will never have any impact on whether a user is banned or not.
