A Delicious Cashew Posted July 25, 2013 Share Posted July 25, 2013 want this to be seen more instead of being in my status im a bit confused here,http://backpack.tf/vote/id/51f0992c4bd7b8385f000001 why are people like him getting banned for their first suggestion. i mean the first suggestion should just equal a warning i would think. this is a very tough ban for a first suggestion as well. My question: is this just a new much stricter policy? Considering how many "bad" suggestions we get, if we ban the makers of them, i don't think this would bode well with the community at all. we already have a ton of haters with our unusual prices a 1 week policy is very strict especially for a first suggestion but then this guy didn't get banned http://backpack.tf/vote/id/51f0a02aba2536d872000024 and then this guy did <- first suggestion again http://backpack.tf/vote/id/51f0a3744bd7b80070000007 this policy will turn many against us, because people will be like I got a 1 week ban for something i didn't know what I was doing. Should have gotten told why it was wrong. but he probbaly never would have looked and continued bad suggestions blind polar bearHe did get told. I'll let first time offenders slide, but if someone makes 3 or more bad price suggestions in a short amount of time, then I may give them a 1-3 day ban depending on the nature of the suggestions. Bp.tf doesn't need (more) people like that (yes, hard but true). but then this guy didn't get banned http://backpack.tf/vote/id/51f0a02aba2536d872000024 Own counter was 0, which hold me back. He has some now in his backpack though. He should consider himself lucky. About the rest: No, there is no stricter policy because there is no real policy at all (maybe this should be changed). I guess a more conversative way would be prefered from the majority of the community though, with an initial verbal warning and all that stuff. So I might have handled to strictly, but they did deserve some consequences. I also did unban the 4th guy (which you haven't shown here) already because he added me and made an appeal. If the guy can't be bothered to appeal / talk about the ban on a price manipulation attempt or to explain his side of things, then let the ban stay? Well seems like he just got a 1 day ban anyways (and that is like a warning).
