I recommend buying some pallet of crates during September and early October in preparation for the Halloween crates and resell for massive profit. You can do the same in late November early December when they drop back down for they will just skyrocket when the festive crates get released.

You can probably do the same before seasonal crate updates to make some easy profit off the new crate hype.

Also possible during any crate update, but the hype doesn't last as long.

What if ... festive strangifiers?

You mean something that could turn unique festives into strange ones? Why don't you just bend the market over and violate it now, and cut out the middle-man XD

What about ... strange festivizers?

What about ... strange festivizers?

That would be interesting as a straight one-up to unboxing new festives. They'd be largely worthless, though, unless distributed in low numbers.

I feel like this is a slight derail though, the initial aim of the thread was to predict ways of making money with items that already exist.

Or, at least, what the new festives are gonna be worth XD

Just realised you could make a killing off of those stupid battery canteens if you predicted their rise and fall well.
Twice now they've fallen to 3 ref or lower, then spiked up to at least 6 XD

Halloween killstreak effects.

This thread's kinda more about predicting the current market than things that WILL exist, I think :3

buds go down for halloween and christmas

keys lower in real money price for holiday sale

the sky is blue

edit: also due to massive unboxing during halloween, all of the stuff from the most recent crates will go down to rock bottom very quickly

IF valve decide to create festive and strange festive versions of the gunslinger and kritzkrieg.

the general price of the strange gunslinger and kritZ will surely drop.

same rule applies to other expensive stranges.

festive holiday punch plz

festive kritz plz

festive gunslinger plz valve

Really?  It's already festive, though, isn't it?  That's like asking for a festive candy cane.  Both weapons are already chistmas themed.

Kind of missing the whole point of the thread.

I predict the Rise of 2nd gens ;c

Since everyone is hating on the 3rd gens

And 1st gen is hyped as ever

People are going to turn to the 2nd gens

Nu

Rise of 2nd gens bb

Based on... what, exactly?

They're not getting any rarer, nobody's opinion of them is increasing.

And based on recent suggestions I've been doing quite a lot of 3rd Gen stuff is stablising, too.

halloween strangifiers please <3

Still not what this thread is about.

Knavesmith brought up an interesting point in some unboxing thread recently; Robo-crates are the ONLY place you can get a Pallet of Crates new. And those spike every time a new crate's about :3

Any Halloween item jumps in price. Late August to September is usually when they start rising. Basically it works like this, no one updates Haunted prices between February through July , so the price drops already happened from Christmas selling.

Also, if it shows up on scrap.tf often, it needs a price drop.

With one exception: Unwanted unusuals (such as Harvest Moon Ketches). There are plenty of people trying to quick-sell them at the moment.

I believe he was referring to Haunted items and their Unique counterparts. Halloween unusuals should be rather hard to sell for the next couple months except those that are eternally popular (knifestorm modest or something like that). Due almost entirely to the people that can afford them waiting for fresh unboxes (or unboxing themselves) around halloween.
