Trying to poll user's political beliefs about themselves and their country. The reason being is for a school project as well as just wanting to know.

 

Also would like to see all the sides go at it, just like real life.

 

I would appreciate it if after you vote, just list a few stances you take on some controversial topics (such as affirmitave action or government-paid healthcare)

I guess I'm far left socially and mid-right fiscally tho, so I'd put myself at center-left

Affirmative action: solves nothing. Is killing Asians right now. Doesn't help who it was supposed to help, might even hurt them.

 

Government paid healthcare: I'm okay with private system. Healthcare has become unaffordable for other reasons, and these should be dealt with.

In America:

 

- Deport all illegals, militarize our borders, then focus on reforming our current gross over-spending defense, welfare, social-security budget and overturn crap like the ACA, affirmative action, etc. After getting our economy and infrastructure to post-WWII levels, start *slowly* opening the borders, and pumping money back into defense. Strength our ties with Israel and NATO, pull out our nuclear ICBM's and start launching new "tests". Send the Iranians and north Koreans cowering into their little holes, while standing up to Russia china.

 

- Ban hard drugs and regulate the "reasonable" ones but if you crap your brain or your lungs, then your screwed because you will be getting NO public assistance and you'll go broke from the ER visits.

 

- Completely ban all forms of abortion, its a sickening and heinous practice. Immature, selfish, heartless human beings can't keep their pants on and then when faced with the result of their lust, they would rather murder it than man or (woman) up to the responsibility of raising a child. "Oh  but what about rape!" Hold on, Im getting to that...

 

- Capital Punishment, buddy. If you are found guilty of first-degree murder or premeditated rape and anyone with half a brain can tell that you did it, it is an automatic death sentence within a week. Hanging, electric chair, or firing squad, none of that "lethal injection" garbage. You deserve to go out in pain without any scrap of dignity. Scum will think twice before raping someone if they know that they'll be put to death.

 

- You can be gay or lesbian and enjoy equal rights as a "civil union" but under no circumstances will you be recognized by the state as "married".

 

- Repeal the stupid FOPA so I do not have to pay $15,000 for a M16, goshdarnit.

I'm super liberal, which would put me on the right wing I guess? Like right wring progressive. Allow pretty much everything, abandon 40% of the rules/laws. If you fuck up, that's not my fault, nor is it the governments. Legalise drugs, you have to pay for the rehab if you want to (or parents or somebody, just not the state). Only things the state should fund is infrastructure, healthcare and education so that everybody has an equal chance. Oh and completely abandon our military because we have too little funds and manpower to actually do anything so it's better to just abandon it. Stay buddies with people that will protect us, like they're currently doing but 6 billion euros a year cheaper (which is a lot for Dutch standards, not for US ones).

Drop the taxes, because we can abandon 60% of our costs. 

 

And yes none of this will ever be completed because such large portions of society are fuck-ups who need the overspending because they can't achieve anything for themselves and since the state pays them about as much for doing nothing as they could get for a job. Why would they work?? I wouldn't. But I'm doing higher education and if all goes to plan will make multitudes of the amount

I'm defenitly right sided;

I don't believe in welfare (at least not in it's current state) They shouldn't be making more than some people who are working, they should have to take monthly/weekly drug tests (if they test postive for any illegal type drug they should be kicked off the system.) they should also have to show that they are atleast looking for a job. I don't think it's right that I have to help pay for someone to sit on their ass getting high.

I don't think their should be any "ausalt rifle" bans or any gun bans for that matter.

While I'm against abortion I could understand it in certian sitiations like with extreme physical defects.

A lot of welfare programs are already means-tested. Welfare reform during Clinton's years (I wanna say 96', maybe a bit earlier?) generally meant stricter criteria. Drug testing, requirements that you be actively seeking a job, term limits for how long benefits persist, proof your income is below the threshold, etc. If you *actually* assume that most welfare these days is a bunch of stoners getting away with payments over the minimum wage every week, you'd be very wrong.

1. Do you include children born in the US from undocumented parents for deporting?

 

 

1B. Why do we get the right to wave our junk around with nuclear bombs, and other countries can't? "Hey Iran, nukes are bad and you can't have them. We'll nuke you (including innocent people in your country) if we don't like what you are doing". Your policy would lead to escalation from a lot of countries imo. You'd be better off getting NATO + other countries involved, and forcibly dismantling hostile countries even if it lead to a traditional World War 3/4/X.

 

 

2. What qualifies for hard drugs, and why ban them? The right and idea of personal responsibility and freedom seems to apply to guns and alcohol (to an extent), why not harder drugs? If I shoot Heroin once every other day, and act peacefully to the point where I wouldn't even hurt a fly, why jail me for narcotics? What about prescription drugs that have a dependency + side effect level much worse than "hard" drugs you listed? Would seem hypocritical to ban "street" drugs, but allow stronger things just because a Pharmaceutical company has its name on it.

 

 

3. If you ban all abortions, that still doesn't address cases where the mother is raped or in danger. Your captial punishment law for rape might deter "sane" rapists (if you can even bother to call a rapist sane in any way), but there will be rape perpetrators that don't care about the stricter law or are mentally deranged.

 

 

4. Extending an automatic death penalty for rapists is fine, but the part about executions in a week? That's a huge no-no. We have the appeals process and the delays for a reason: no one wants to execute an innocent man, and it's happened plenty before. Planted evidence, biased juries, defendants of color being convicted unfairly, etc. What's the criteria for "anyone with a half brain could tell"? Is a conviction not enough to warrant the automatic death penalty? I'd hate to die a week after trail, because a one night stand/ex gf/etc decided to lie a bit and say our sex wasn't consentual.

 

 

5. Why should the state recognize marriage at all? Marriage is supposed to be a personal (and usually religious) union between two people. What's the point exactly for the government to be involved, to give us tax incentives and keep record that we were married? Another avenue like a private company could take care of marriage licenses and divorce. If a church or religion doesn't allow for gay marriage, then that's that. You let those bodies of people decide. If your church or religion or area decides to allow gay marriage, and you disagree, you can find a new religion or set of beliefs or area that aligns with you better. Why should "big nanny" government keep track of who's married, whether it's legal, what states will recognize gay marriage licenses, etc? Why not leave the marriage issue for people to figure out on their own, and let someone more efficent in the private sector deal with any records?
