Thing with secret serviced is on so many weapons it looks extremely similar to stock. While this may be the appeal to some (can basically have stock skin with unusual/stat clock), it's pointless as a war paint to others. So to put it on a weapon which changes the look from stock significantly is what I would personally choose to do. 

Brass beast is a popular choice in MvM, guy who used it might play MvM more than PvP.

 

And to be real it's not like it's a rare super valuable war paint - still a merc grade from a 3c case and doesn't demand the upcharge of anything like isotope on a green paint.

i also find that war paints kind of look ass on big weapons, you can count the pixels
