I asked someone on a trade server what items I should buy for 5 keys to get started on trading and they recommended I get cheap spelled items. Is this good advice?

That person who rec'd 10k keys was absolutely joking by the way, although I also think they were getting at a grain of truth, which is the increase in entry value to the tf2 market which is suggested by traders. I don't think it's as bad as they're making it out to be though.
