i was looking into "investing" in a volcanic eruption hawaiian hunter, but it seems like there's no money in it. come to think of it, there's no money in any new unusuals unless they're a quickswitch that happens to be one of the few acceptable effects, in which case it will be market up by a thousand percent.

Unless it's a quickswitch (and you trust valve not to remove it for reals) or an assassin/elite grade there's no point in "investing" in most newer hats/effects as opposed to investing in old robos/pre-2015 halloween effects.

If you want to "invest" in something, it's gotta be something that's a small and limited quantity, with no chance of more popping out. You're looking at a Mercenary Grade hat with its native effect, so there's already a great deal of those hats already unboxed and more will trickle in as people open the case outside of events. Pick something that's permanently 1/1-1/3, not something that's 1/20 with more on the way.
