can't create a listing for one item

there's probably a really obvious answer to this but can't figure it out so..

 

around 8-9 days ago i bought this item (stealthy scarf) from the SCM

it was already tradable yesterday but i couldn't create a listing for it

because i'm still using the old UI , i assumed maybe it had something to do with it so today i tried again with the new UI (yikes,btw)

still won't work but at least i get a message now and,yes,system says the item is not tradable

but..it's definitely tradable now

so,what is going on ?

Try refreshing, ensure it doesn't say your inventory is using fallback.

If the above didn't work, trade the item to a friend and get them to trade it back. Sometimes backpack doesn't recognize that items are tradeable.

pretty sure it was always using fallback , even if only from "a minute ago"

Gladiator.tf (bot hosting website) has a similar issue where the bots wont put the order back up and you have to constantly refresh the bots inventory on the site until it works lol

IIRC the untradable until X date tag stays with an item for a bit after it becomes tradable, I don't think backpack does a proper compare just an estimate and so it can take an additional day or so before it will actually let you list the item. This is very common for trade holded items.
