Mario is a franchise with many different types. There is the traditional 2-d scroller. Rpgs, sports, Mario party, Mario kart. Mario can be what it wants. (So is the Mario and Luigi franchise, to an extent) I've played some of the N64 Paper Mario. I love TTYD to death, it's my favorite GCN game. SPM was too easy IMO, but I have 100% completion on it.
