Bob the Unsymmetrical
About a few weeks ago, a person offered me a Field-Tested Strange Loose Cannon skin. I asked him what are his current offers are, he said he is looking for two keys. So I check Backpack, a normal Strange Loose cannon is 2 keys, but his skin is only worth 20 ref (I use SCM and marketplace to get a general idea of a price when it comes to skins). Question time: How do you guys price skins, or at least determine its value? Is my method a great way to determine a skin's price? Or do people really just see "OOOO strange Iron Bomber skin! 1 key!" and buy it without a thought? Just a general question to all traders buying/selling skins. halp
Scott Bakula
I typically use the SCM and Marketplace to look at what the unapplied war paint goes for, then subtract from that based off of what the weapon was turned into. Typically the ones that hold the value the best are the ones you'd see frequently in competitive play. Next would be stock weapons, then popular weapons, and finally everything else.
