O-12 chawme Posted February 11, 2014 Share Posted February 11, 2014 Odd leveled vintages definitely needed a suggested drop (8 keys for a lv99 vintage weapon usually worth 2 scrap?!). This was fixed in an update not too long ago; however, the increased value was completely irradiated. For collectors level vintages (and other items, like genuines and stranges), a percent increase in value is still reasonable. Not a 25000% percent increase (as was the previous suggested prices for vintage weapons), but a 10-50% increase depending on the type of item. High level botkillers go for a lot. Collector's level stranges are desirable, and odd level vintages are still more noteworthy than normal ones. Anyways, since this site previously suggested higher prices for odd leveled items, one might assume that the change would not be too difficult. It's just another way to increase the accuracy of the site. What percents do people think are reasonable? Maybe a range should be suggested. Comment with your ideas! Draco Blaze Posted February 11, 2014 Share Posted February 11, 2014 Collectors level prices' were suggestions. There are some vintage weapons that have levels rarer than 0, 1, 50, 69, 99, and 100. The price of an odd-level vintage weapon is ultimately up to the seller. If no one is willing to pay their B/O, then it doesn't sell. There is no doubt that a structured percent increase would be better for pricing, but it probably won't happen. If a formula is to be made though, it would have to include the number in existence (according to stats.tf) and the original price of the vintage weapon without a doubt. There are probably some other factors that should be taken into account, but that kind of data might be harder to find (ie: last sale price, hype/want for the weapon, etc.). There is no set forumula for what amount of increase is for ever special weapon/item as people are willing to pay more of less depending on the item. Just because someone would pay 1 key more for a level 1 vintage beard it doesnt mean all level 1 vintages are worth 1 keys more, it differs and thus the old formula failed in epic proportions where we had blind followers of bp falling for sharks. It's fine the way it is now with no formula and leaves the trader to do their own little research which is what they should be doing already.
