Scott Bakula Posted April 8, 2019 Share Posted April 8, 2019 Unusual Taunts are not seen as good investments because more and more taunt unusualifiers keep entering the market, and at a much higher rate than unusual hats. Additionally, a Taunt Unusualifier drop can be for nearly any taunt in the game, making the supply go up across the entire taunt spectrum, unlike how it is with hats. And as supply outstrips demand, values plummet. Halloween Effects are somewhat safer, but even then there's no guarantee of value stability as some years Valve will make the older effects available, while in others, they don't.
