Recommended Posts

I recently switched from AVG to COMODO and when I did this, my computer exploded. It's a laptop. I cannot boot when plugged in. I freeze sometimes at desktop and there is no way to get out of it besides restarting. What do I do guys?

Well, either way, you should run it as it doesn't cost you anything to run, and very often does find stuff most other virus scanners miss.

I can't do it. My computer freezes up part way through, and it can never complete.

I'm running an SSD, a 256GB 840 Pro

I found a random file called MusiccityDownload.exe and MAMCityDownload.ocx (ActiveX Control) in my C:\Windows.

Upon further inspection, these both seem to have been created by Samsung Kies, so I don't think they're malicious. I deleted them either way.

I might just reformat.

Reformatting is for chumps.

lol, I'm not gonna go out and spend another $260 on a new SSD :P

Edit: managed to finish full malwarebytes scan. nothing found.

Edit 2: reformatted and reinstalled windows. I think it's all fixed now :)
