but why? Wouldn't it be more wise to invest in multiple paints to dampen potential losses?

What about ToD tickets?

There is a fear ToD tickets might be the new BP Expander and have a permanently reduced price. Even if it doesn't and they go back up to $1.00, there is a good chance tickets wont go back up in price until another mvm update. By the time that happens, paints will most likely be back to their pre-sale value.

The thing with tickets (and not paint or even expanders) is that one person can consume 10 or 20 in a day.   If price returns to normal, they will bounce back to near-regular prices by the following weekend.

What is the reason the ToD sale is permanent and the paints not? I am willing to take the risk to buy ToD tickets.

Just need to know what would sell faster. 2x ToD for 1 key or Lime / pink for 1 key?

And if permanent: 4x ToD for 1 key or 2 lime / pink for 1 key?

If permanent, 4:1 tod:key won't sell.

Vincent explained this.

Because paints always are in demand. ToD tickets have only been in demand whenever a new tour is released and new items can be earned. One way Valve may try to encourage more people to play Mann Up is by making ToD tickets 50 cents from now on.

That being said, Pink and Lime is a safer bet to sell for a key. Even if Tickets go back to being $1 in store, there is no guarantee the interest in Mann Up will drive prices back up to 3-3.33 ref or 2 for 1 key by the time Paints go up. Plus, if tickets remain 50 cents, you wont make any profit selling 4 for a key.

Alternatively they could make robot parts/killstreak items available on all mvm maps. That would drive interest from people as well. I would like to play maps other than 2 cities.
