The group focuses on informal technical assistance--users assisting others with their tech issues. To quote said friend; "Yes i know google exists, but this group is more aimed at the less tech savvy gamers who dont understand how to research issues properly." They've already talked to some game devs about joining (apparently one of the Bohemia devs joined already), so this could get some weight behind it with enough support.
