I have a single big playlist I use for playing video games. I'm interested in any suggestions for songs to add to it :)

 

Preferences include things with decent tempo and energy, rap and instrumentals are not as high on the list. And please no noise, bubblegum pop, or black metal; that is more of a distraction than a help when trying to concentrate.

 

Before you recommend something please use ctrl + f to search the playlist below, to avoid repeats. Some of the metadata is a bit unorganized/punctuated oddly, but single words should pop up easily.

I never got why people listen to music while playing video games. It doesn't make sense to me.

 

Especially when the games already have soundtracks to listen to while playing.

Fade - Black Hearts and Dollar Signs

Already have some Shinedown on there, but I'll look up the rest. The Pantera song has some generic vocals, but the riff ain't bad

 

I never got why people listen to music while playing video games. It doesn't make sense to me.

Especially when the games already have soundtracks to listen to while playing.

I love the Borderlands 2 and Awesomenauts soundtracks as much as anyone, but I do like some variety now and then. There have been scientific studies that show your body responds to music based on tempo and other studies have shown that your body responds better to music you like.

Just any of the louder Rolling Stones tracks. Or G'nR. Or some other hardrock. It just really pumps you up a bit, and especially multiplayer games request that of you. I performed a study on myself, and my Awesomenauts kdr is improved by ~0.3 when listening to hardrock. Of course this research isn't perfect, but well I needed something to do, and wanted to see if it actually made me better. So I believe it works. (but I guess not if you dislike hardrock, in which case I dislike you ;D)

Actually I have a Notes block full of different musics from video games (like 450 different musics),so i put some in youtube and play MVM.

The actual song doesn't have that part, it was added for the music video.

 

 

That is more like a cod parody

 

"Ermagerd its like something else, therefore it must be trying to mimic it." There's no way to have a completely original idea. All ideas are drawn from previous experience, thus it is not uncommon to have conceptually overlapping themes or events even if they are unrelated.

There's also a school of literary thought that posits reader reaction is more important than authorial intent; google "Death of the Author"

 

Actually I have a Notes block full of different musics from video games (like 450 different musics),so i put some in youtube and play MVM. 

running an internet browser and a video game at the same time is too taxing for my computer.
