Neither is correct... both are in a way correct. Although we most likely took away the S because it was too main stream, mathematics is not plural, so there is no reason to keep the s on the shortened version of it.

 

You don't say "Mathematics are", you say "Mathematics is", so singular.

im doing an ssn checker for sweden. its based upon the luhn algorithm. but i want to know how many solutions each day can have. swedish social security numbers are built like this: yyyy-mm-dd-rrrc

r stands for random number, c for control number.

i wanna figure out how many solutions rrrc can have. it can be all from 0001 to 9999 (give or take)
