Look up any of his stances as Cardinal Bergoglio and you'll see he was vehemently against gay marriage. He wants to welcome gays into being accepted into the church, but he is not, in any way, willing to consider gay marriage. Some people have some trauma when they're younger and remain attracted to the age group that they had that trauma during. It's no different than environmentally-acquired homosexuality (and I'm sure that it does exist alongside naturally-occurring homosexuality, to a smaller extent), except that instead of attraction towards the same sex, it's attraction towards people of the opposite sex of a younger age. Pedophilia is an illness, and you can't be nice to gays and kick pedophiles on the street because of their attraction. Child porn and sex is still not okay, though, at least in our society. Just like how gay sex was considered evil by a huge majority in the 50s. So I'm not defending CP, just offering devil's advocacy. now when it comes to loli... It's a "disease" in all classical senses, or at the very least a "disorder", and whether or not you think it's a harmless one (like me, for the most part, I don't harbor any disdain towards homosexuals and don't think of them any differently) -- it's as if it's a crime to admit that it's a disorder/disease that affects a small part of the population (for better or worse). While I can see why the media wants to bury this debate to help accept gays as equals into society, it doesn't make homosexuality any less of an anomaly than it is. It's as natural as any other disease, such as Sickle Cell Anemia. Just because it is a disease doesn't mean the person is any less valuable or moral by default. Now, when it comes to the comparison to pedophilia, I'm going to only make an example of "homosexuals" who became gay through environmental stresses/stimuli -- not those who are gay naturally. So, a smaller portion of the gay community. How is it any different than pedophilia? Both are mental illness at that point.v Obviously it would be dumb as fuck to compare naturally gay people to pedophiles, because they're not alike in any way. I usually don't see people talking against gay marriage on most chat like areas as most likely most people support it in that area and it is usually one against it vs. 10 for it.
