Koops Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 I've been looking to trade for this particular hat (cloudy noble) and in due course i've looked at its history on on bp.tf and tf2items.com. I'm just trying to understand what I see. what bp.tf shows - http://backpack.tf/item/1224111900 what tf2items.com shows - http://www.tf2items.com/item/1224111900 tf2items.com is substanially shorter. Currently exists in this bp -> http://www.tf2items.com/profiles/76561198017112652 OR http://backpack.tf/profiles/76561198017112652 Can any of your more knowledgeable traders please enlighten me about what it means. Which history is the correct one? Is it a dupe? Thanks guys
AlwaysBorn Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 I think there are less on tf2items, because it scans less. Not sure about that though. But I can tell you it's not a dupe.
Ryoudji Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Item History on tf2items is restricted irrc. It also only gathers accounts that has been registered on their website, differently of backpack.tf that gathers from every public account possible out there (even those without Steam Community page set)
Koops Posted March 11, 2013 Author Posted March 11, 2013 Thanks. What I don't understand is that on the bp.tf history it shows where the origin of that particular line is from. The majority are from tf2items.com, which when you look at their own site doesn't list it.
Mr_Crud Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 I've wondered about things like this myself for a while too.
