SilverSpeed Posted May 10, 2015 Share Posted May 10, 2015 The pistol and the luger are exactly the same stat wise, not even having a change similar to the Original so you can use either one with no difference aside from the visual, which many people have disabled anyway. For aiming it's often best to aim slightly before your opponents inorder to track better, but if they're moving at you in a straight line then just aiming for the center of the body tends to be your best bet. If they're jumping around you just need to have decent mouse settings to track the movements effectively and hope you can land some decent shots. It's primarily for finishing off a wounded opponent when the scatter gun won't cut it (out of ammo or they've gotten too far away) or heckling (Goading 1 or more opponents into a fight instead of pursuing the objective). Admittedly though, I tend to find the Scout's other secondary weapons better choices overall compared to the stock Pistol. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

But, the pistol should really only be used to pick off low health targets from a far range or when you're out of scattergun shots and you need to reload and you do know that your opponent is really hurt, then you should whip out the pistol to finish the job.
