I do have some knowledge on computers like spend the most money on the GPU (Graphics Card) and then the CPU (Central Procesing Unit i.e the Processor) only if you want to play beefy games like Arma. But I do think it may be a bit hard to buy a Computer for 1 key (not funny? ill stop D:)

You can add me if you want some general advice :P

1000 including peripherals + monitor?

CPU: Intel Core i5 4460 $211
Mobo: Asrock B85M-Pro4 $79
RAM: 8GB (2x4GB) Kingston HyperX Fury DDR3-1600 $89
HDD: Western Digital WD Blue 1TB $60
GPU: Gainward 4GB Geforce GTX 970 Phantom $449
Case: CMK282 $49
PSU: Antec Neo Eco 520C Bronze $77
Total: $1014

Assuming no peripherals, can probs get an ssd if you want but doesnt really make that much difference performance wise.

This would be a good idea for a $1000 computer.

Don't forget an ssd

You absolutely, 100% will want one.

I don't know how the boxing day sales are down under, but in Canada they're awesome. Buy your pc shit tomorrow or this week, you'll save a lot.
