Like, an announcement, or something derpy happening in the world (scientifical / religious moments count, anything that was treated seriously but is REALLY dumb)

Saddam Hussein allegedly stockpiling PS2s is my favourite - even funnier how it got a lot of publicity.

Probably that time Obama didn't read from a teleprompter. Oh wait, that never happened.
