I need advice on what to do with crate 50...

So, let me first tell you that I've been playing tf2 for over a year, but just only became interested in the economics and trading systems at the beginning of this month, I quickly began selling regular weapons for scrap, and made about a ref a day. so now my whole inventory is worth around 22 ref, then I find Salvaged Mann. Co. Crate Series #50, I know it is worth around 4 keys, but I'm not sure if I should buy a key and unbox it, trade it for keys, or save it and wait for the price to go up, I'm asking on here because there is no possible way I am going to get a legit answer because of all the trolls on trade servers, and forums just seem a little more...serious than VOIP...

My advice, if crate 60 does not come out after the summer update, sell.

If the crate 60 DOES come out, hold onto it.

 

TL;DR I hoarded #40s and they are worthless since there are so many of them.

Other way around. If Crate #60 comes out sell sell sell crate #50. That's the highest its gonna be for years because of the hype.

I completely understand both of those choices, thank you, I think I'll sell it right after the summer update if 60 comes out though,

Good, just look at the graph for Salvaged Crate #40. Only time it spiked is when there was hype.
