All new games are untradable and region locked

It seems like Valve has done some big changes to their game selling/trading policy. It seems like all newly bought games are region locked.

As a bonus, new game cannot be traded for the initial period of 30 days.

Also, they are still giftable but not tradeable for 30 days.

It's not safe to do trades this way or is it?

 

I searched for a thread about this but I couldn't find one. Oh well...

 

edit. This is terribad for TF2 keys which are used by hundreds of game traders as virtual currency.

Absolutely not. The gifting way is highly risky.

Same to me,my five nights at freddy's 2 gift has a month restriction and can only be redeemed in South East Asia

Well i gifted it to a mate anyways

It'd be the equivalent of Paypal trading. As in, you'd have to put trust in a person to pay you after you've already given them the product.

Except worse, because there's no charge-back function.

 

So basically the most risky possible current way to trade, yes X3
