I've been hearing talk about it During and leading up to halloween, buds bottom out because people want to exchange them for keys to unbox, and so people expect them to go up after halloween. Trouble is that the christmas event and steam sale will start in a few weeks after the halloween event ends. During christmas, buds and keys can and usually do go low because people want to cash them out for money to buy games on sale. The steam holiday sales are a HUGE deal. During halloween, of course, people use the keys to unbox, so buds will drop relative to them. But yeah, they will both likely drop in terms of dollar value during Christmas. As far as the Christmas event goes, no reason for one to rise-fall relative to one another. mmm good point. in the past, buds weren't marketable so the only way to cash them out was either on the grey market (paypal) or by trading them for keys to then sell or trade directly for games.
