Allright, so this suggestion got me thinking

As of now, weapons are priced at .05 ref. But really, they're .055, which is closer to .06

Should we make all weapons .06, as that's closer to their actual price. This also implies to other ranges, as with ranges from .55-.88, the prices actually are respectively .56, .67, .78 and .89

 

This is just a question. How far do we go to make accurate prices?

 

If needed I'll make all suggestions, as I get LOOOAADDDSSS of rep (and I'm a whore)

I think this is kinda useless it's generally knowledge that 0.5 is a weapon 0.33 is a rec and 1 is a ref (0.33 x 3 = 0.99). To make such a change is pointless and most people like round numbers as well.

I remember someone making a suggestion for a weapon trying to change it to 0.6 a long while back.

 

The thing is, there isn't any stacked effect.  By that, I mean that no other prices rely on the price of weapons.  The change would be completely aesthetic.

 

If we were to price keys at 3.4 ref instead of 3.44 it would affect (lower) the conversion prices of items like unusuals and other items priced in keys.  This problem doesn't occur with weapons.

No, you people are starting to run out of things to price. Half a weapon being .05 refined works just fine. We don't need that little mathematical coreection . You'll start having 1 refined items priced at .99 refined instead.

Can't they cost 0.055 ref ? Sicne 0.06 + 0.06 is more then a scrap and 0,05 + 0,05 = 0.10 ?

i think that about every trader is used to having 0.05 as a wep, 0.06 would probbably just cause confusion either that or people dont care at all. 

 

Personally i like 0.05 more as it is a nice round number.

0.05 is just the placeholder of what weapons should be. If we went around raising the prices of the weapons, it would be pointless, just free reputation. All 0.05 is, is simply a representation of the common weapon, no need to go into complete detail about it, because honestly, who cares?

If you want to be accurate you should also write ref in fractions not decimals; 1 and 1/3rd ref, 2/9ths, etc. Or you should write the decimals with vinicula.
