My buddy just sent me a chat log of a pretty clever phishing technique.

-> They use outpost phishing links now.

-> They also use pretty generic trading names like the one above, or TF2Trader

-> They will also start adding you based on your backpack.tf classified ads. I've had one do that already.

Maybe I'm late, I don't know, but I want all of you to be safe.

Me and my friend have traded for a long time, it's our first time seeing this.

Yes, you are very late. Phishers have been using both Outpost and Steam fake links to hijack accounts.

anyone that says " you trade u unusual on market" is always a phisher/scammer. Pretty much a fact

Yeah the bad spelling / grammar is a dead give away lmao :D

I didn't make this post to show off ._.

Was just surprised to see this for the first time. Want to make sure it's not a first time for anyone else.

I haven't been getting any friend requests from phishing bots lately. Perhaps because they're all blocked now?

you're not even close to blocking them all

you can't -- they multiple exponentially every day

Most of these phisher bots last played a game years ago (Thats if their profile isnt set to private)

Phisher bots are commonly found on outpost compared to backpack & Bazaar

Nah, Outpost had a new feature that actually slowed down the phishers!

Check out the changelogs. It is so great.
