So... I can't get myself rich.

I'd maybe suggest flipping your items into different game items like CS:GO or Dota 2 and then see if you can find something higher on Steam market by a few cents or even dollars and add them, I went from a Desert Eagle Heirloom to a Bayonet

Trading is hard business right here. I am simply out of words. I can't get my backpack value to rise.

I've tried to flip Spook Specs but it stopped working rather early. Had sold 9 in a week or so but didn't recieve a single add or trade offer for 4 days.

I have nothing interesting in my backpack to flip or use to get rich. I don't know anymore, all items I have don't cope well for flipping. People are too smart nowadays and I don't want to shark or scam anyone.

If you can help me out take a look in my backpack and tell me what's my best bet on getting rich. http://backpack.tf/id/ExDe707

DON'T say:

-unbox

-shark people

-get lucky

Because I'm convinced it won't help me that way.

These are the guild lines I follow when trading.

Never buy stuff if you are not making a profit.

Always by for cheaper then the going price.

I look at the classifieds to get an idea of what things are going for. If I see a lot of people selling for less then backpack.tf price then I know the item is dropping.  So just know that just because an item is lower then backpack.tf price it may not be a good deal if everybody is selling for that price.

If you are not making at least a weapon profit or more in trade then it's not worth your time.

Never feel bad if someones tells you they just got scammed and want some free items, because most likely they will just get scammed again and it could be a lie.

Always have refined metal ready to trade.

Try to sell your items for metal instead of other items that you will have to resale again.

Only accept overpaying in items and if they don't want to overpay in items just move on.

Only accept items without overpay if you think they will be easier to sell then the items you already have.

I hardly ever use trade servers for trading because it's just 10 year olds trying to scam you and if you offer them a item they call you a scammer. (but sometimes there are good deal there)

When you are selling an item don't worry about backpack.tf price of the item, worry about how much metal you spent and how much you want to get back ( if a regular item does not sell in 5 days then your price is too high)

If you sell an item for more then backpack.tf price don't feel like a scammer because backpack.tf sets the price base of what you are able to sell for or not able to sell for.

Don't guess the price or killstreaks weapons, do this simple math to see how much you can resale it for on the market.

Say a killstreak weapons lowest price is $1.20 dollars then do 1.20 x 0.15 which = 0.18 now subtracted 0.18 from 1.20 which = 1.02

So now you know you can get 1.02 from it, but what to buy? Well Tour of Duty tickets go for 0.99 cents in the mann.co store. so just pick one of those up and sell for 3.66 refined. (or save up for a key)

Never count the full value of a painted item when accepting it. ( I'm starting not to even accept half paint price)

Same with strange parts. If you do accept half the strange part value make sure the parts make sense, for example. Don't except a pain train with robots destroyed because nobody kills robots with the pain train, but a sticky bomb launcher with robots destroyed at half price would be fun.

Side note. Don't try to flip new hats.

I hope this will help a bit   :)

What the fuck are you all doing? You're not helping me in any way. In b4 I have to call a mod to clean the shitposts.

Now help me correctly, and explain why do you think your strategy will help me.

Rude much?

You need to calm down, nobody will help you with an attitude like that.

There is no "secret code" to getting rich and if there was everyone would do it.

You wont get rich overnight unless you break 2 of your rules (unbox + get lucky)

Start weapon -> scrap that's were most people begin.

Be willing to do some work and be patient.

Once you have a shit unusual for 10 keys (And you have sweets) Keep trading up

Try to flip too, I flipped a N&B Hot Dogger for 1 bud (It's really 10-11 keys)

Anyway, in one week, i had three unusuals (Gave two away, i'm done with unusuals)

I luckily unboxed one.

The only way your gonna make profit is to take overpay in items, then either sell those for more then what the original item was worth for profit, or sell the items you got for more item overpay. taking pure wont get you anywhere. buying quick sales also helps, but not very much.

Pure gets you lots of places, buddy. It's the Currency. It's like accepting Dirt in place of Diamonds in real life Commodities.

While it is unreliable, I like to take a look through the scrap.tf strange weapon bots to see if they have any stranges with valuable strange parts. I also exploit the fact that they sell Stranges at a discount depending on the value of the item. The more expensive the item is, the greater of a discount scrap.tf gives and more profit to be made.

Auctioning those weapons off is a great idea as well. Might've forgotten to mention that :)

I started making Collector's weapons and then put them on the SCM. Easy weapons to make can fetch around 3 keys. Rinse and repeat until you have your desired amount.

OR you can flip buds by buying for 18 keys and selling for 19 keys. Heard that's pretty efficient.
