56MinuteMek
Personally, a really good method is to check their past aliases. Really quick method, if they have no aliases or like 1-2 odds are they are a phiser. Also tons of phisers have the same account names (Frozen), are (unassigned) or the same picture. Do you guys have any methods to spot phisers??

Knurr
Steam level 0 Last time he played a game was in 2011 or a long time ago. Private Account. This so much. Someone who would want to trade wouldn't wait 3 years for it.

Twishine
Username, profile picture (for whatever reason, some phisher's have the EXACT same profile picture.) Low level, not too many games More definitively, doesn't have TF2 Adding nearly instantly after you bump trades (or within a minute.)

knavesmith
Learn the time frame of when phishers add you. This allows you to insta-block phishers and not legit accounts. Of course, if you listed an insane quicksell or a recently reduced price, you should expect insta-adds.
v³ Unknown NO FEAR
Sometimes you really can't tell when it's a phisher or not, there are legit looking accounts that have been recently hijacked and sometimes they still have their unusuals.
Dat Face Doe
Ive been herring about all these fishing links for a while now, although most of them flounder before anyone has a chance to fall for it. They mainly just trawl through trades, looking for some unsuspecting shrimp to snatch up with a scam. The promise of overpay or a real looking "steam community link" is enough to get most people hooked.
