WDZ-RR Poncho Sullivan
They're probably going to say things about how this travesty caused the war to be "won". It's not a travesty, it is a pivotal moment in the history of the United States and throughout the world. The storming of the beach of Normandy was the beginning of the Allied campaign to liberate France from Nazi control. After the Allies took back France, and with the Soviet Union fighting the Nazis in the East, Germany was in full retreat until they finally surrendered in April 1945, shortly after Hitler committed suicide.
