Anyone know of any mods that can speed up my tf2?

My friend simsa downloaded a mod that did something with his resolution so now he can run the game much better but his graphics looks shitty but I need something like that because playing a spy with lag is a death sentence. Does anyone know of any mods that can do this please?

Download.

Go to Steam > SteamApps > common > Team Fortress 2 > tf > cfg and put the config as an autoexec.cfg file.

Basically a text file made into a cfg file.

I probably didn't make much sense up there, so I'll say what I did.

 

Take the config and put it into notepad. Save it as "autoexec.cfg" (no quotes) and put it in your cfg folder.

Make sure it is NOT "autoexec.cfg.txt", otherwise you have to change it into a cfg file.

 

To do that you have to right click on the file, click "Rename"

Simply delete ".txt".

 

Congrats you have shitty TF2 but more FPS!!!

I'm pretty sure blind polar bear's tf2 works pretty fast if you're looking for a fast mod.

Ward: You can also add to the cfg (I think) by adding various commands. I highly recommend removing ragdolls.

I don't know about anyone else but I found that just dropping the resolution as low as it'll allow is my best FPS gainer.
