Ersin
If you want to suggest a new price for a currency. You would require about 10-20 suggestions accepted or a validation of a mod to be allowed to make a suggestions for currencies if ever he/she has proof. This people that wants to decrease or increase key prices that doesn't even have a tad bit of proof is making me cringe. This needs to stop. ♠Derpeh♤
Already talked about here: http://forums.backpack.tf/index.php?/topic/17791-key-price-suggestion-restriction/ and like 4+ threads asking the same thing. Again same reply in your status update: Many of our currency suggestions are made by no belts who put in the effort to learn how things work here and to compile the proof. It isnt a problem, many people enjoy the free rep and it takes a mod less than a second to close.

♠Derpeh♤
Maybe validation from mods will work? Many mods have already disagreed many times in the past replying to very similar threads, except people keep making threads like this. I made one similar a while back and was denied

But they get aid from experience users that can easily make a key suggestion themselves. http://backpack.tf/vote/id/5405b8a84dd7b80f638b4602 <- Like so. I don't really like the idea of no belts suggesting currencies. Heck, most of them doesn't even make anymore suggestions after their key suggestion gets accepted. d0 ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
First suggestion I ever made was for Earbuds, first ever decimal accepted suggestion - people had huge doubts. But it got accepted, anyone can make a currency suggestion.

Ersin
First suggestion I ever made was for Earbuds, first ever decimal accepted suggestion - people had huge doubts. But it got accepted, anyone can make a currency suggestion. It takes a very special person to do something like that. And you're the guy d0. You're one in a million. A jack of all trades. You already knew the trading world back then and even now you exceed all. From your earbud suggestion "I've been following the Earbuds market for the past couple of weeks, I must say all below 22 keys were quicksell, but we are coming to a point where 21+4/5 ref is not that easy to sell anymore. Most of the sellers @ TF2op is 22keys." I get the idea of anyone can suggest freely. But most people trying to increase or decrease the key/bud price doesn't even have proof. It's getting dull and idiotic for me. I don't even know why I should be doing this. I'm not even that active at the main site as I used to. (Like a did a lot, hue.). TL;DR: You were a trading wiz before you suggested it. You understood backpack.tf. You're just that good. Unlike people this days with.....opinions for suggesting... A jack of all trades. ...As ive said before most of our currency suggestions recently and in the past were mostly from no belts who took the time to learn how a suggestion works and took some time to find proof. Making a key suggestion isnt very hard it just takes a lot of time to compile the proof Here are some accepted key suggestions made by no belts or they were no belts at the time: http://backpack.tf/vote/id/5405b8a84dd7b80f638b4602 http://backpack.tf/vote/id/53c100104cd7b817138b4568 http://backpack.tf/vote/id/53d579804cd7b80f158b4568 http://backpack.tf/vote/id/53db9d604dd7b80d598b4568 http://backpack.tf/vote/id/53d190a54dd7b808398b4569 http://backpack.tf/vote/id/53c9c3494cd7b825728b4568 http://backpack.tf/vote/id/53ce93e04dd7b8287c8b4568 Not to mention many of these had other no belts/low tier suggesters competing for the better range It isnt very hard to just downvote a proofless suggestion and ignore the comments, just enjoy the free rep and it doesnt bother the mods since it takes 1 second to close. Cutting off potential suggestions just because you "cringe" isnt a very good reason nor valid reason. Just deal with it.

I don't see how an unusual suggestion from a white belt that didn't read the unusual guide is any better than a fail lack of proof key suggestion. What bp.tf can do is provide an extra pop-up with key suggestion rules/guidelines & perhaps some links with "how key suggestion can look" to provide maximum amount of help to make sure the newcomers understand currency suggestions. As a suggestor they don't really bother me, ignore them. If they try to make some points and state their opinion a few links to help them out in the future and leave it to the mods. If the mods feel something like this is needed, yeah sure. But it shouldn't be something we need to take care of, mods are the one doing all the work.
