Alabenson
I have a question regarding possible evidence for an unusual price suggestion; Recently I received an unsolicited offer for one of my unpriced unusuals, an Arcana Bunsen Brave, which I turned down. However, I actually felt that, value-wise, the offer was quite reasonable, it's just that I am not particularly interested in selling the unusual in question at the moment and I didn't particularly care for any of the hats being offered. So, we have a situation where both the prospective buyer and the item's owner agree on the value of the hat, but the sale didn't occur because the owner wasn't interested in selling for any (realistic) price. My question is, given that both parties seemed to agree on the value of the unusual, could I use the offer as the basis for suggesting a price for the unusual in question? For what it's worth, the offer consisted of a Bubbling Co-Pilot, a Flaming Lantern Flamboyant Flamenco, a Steaming Ol' Snaggletooth, and a B.M.O.C. Gent♥
No. You can't price an unusual without sales.
