I think the best universally liked effect is Fire Horns. Colour varies from person to person, personally I like Violet / Manndarin.

I dont really care about the sheen as long as its the same for one class

 

per example for pyro i only got mean green stuff, solly is Team Shine, demo is violet and medic is emerald

 

as for the killstreakers i like Fire Horns and Tornado

If I didn't have my sets all with team shine, I would say Emerald is the best. Also sing is favorite imo

Best Sheen is obv Team Shine and best killstreaker is obv Fire Horns. 

 

Besides those, I love Daffodil and Emerald but hate Mean Green and Hot Rod (Manndarin & Violet are middle class for me). Daffodil is better than team shine on Aussies and can make even normal weapons seem more australium-ish XD

Emerald is just great. Goes perfectly with lime cosmetics and green unusuals.

 

When it comes to kilstreakers other than Fire Horns I really like Cerebral Discharge and Incinerator. Both are quite visible even at 5 kills and look good (especially Incinerator).

Fire Horns and Tornado are best, hands down.  Colorful, noticeable, pretty, even at the 5 kill rank.

Damn, didn't know Team Shine was *that* popular. I never see anyone with it in-game.
