Anyway, I was looking to get a gift for a long time friend and since I can not afford to pay for a new item myself, I decided to look around for a decent condition ipod. >>>>>> Are any of these good or should I maybe look else where? <<<<<< There is still some time until the auctions end so I know they price may go up but I might be able to meet it. I also can not decide between generation 4 or 5. BTW, for anyone that wants to know, this is a gift for a friend in South America. I usually see him during the summer. AAAAAAAAAA
tbh i would go for the 5th generations because the software updates will last longer for those and the 4th generation charger is harder to find. If you want a cheap iphone go for the 5c. I have one but i got it for free it is also plastic

boogaloo92
Don't get a 4th gen. I have one and it can only support IOS 6, most apps are IOS 7 minimum.
Apo
go with the 5. 4 is trash. 5 is less trash
♠Derpeh♤
go with the 5. 4 is trash. 5 is less trash I can confirm. I gave my mother my iphone 4s and it's useable since she uses most of the native apps...etc but she cant/shouldnt update to ios 8 since it is a lot more intensive and from what ive heard it can lag pretty badly when updated. That also means that you can't run certain apps properly because it requires an updated ios :S Not sure if this will apply to the touch tho
Roller
It really confuse me when people are talking about iPhone when the OP asks for iPod. Well anyways, I got an iPod 5 a year ago and I would say it works perfectly. I mainly use it for listening songs, but running on applications or just searching on the Safari also do well. iPod 4 just has a small screen and probably needs an update to the iOS 7 in some of them if they are bought long ago. IMO, the higher the generation, the better they work. I'll go for iPod 5 if I were you.
