SO I bought an unusual from this guy, shortly after i found out he was banned on bp.tf, But he isn't marked on steam rep at all
The question here is, will I really get in serious trouble for this?

Well its always a good practice to check people out. I use backpack profiles to check so you can see everything, since it tracks SR, BP, and has links to OP and bazaar.

Banned User: http://backpack.tf/profiles/76561198072147319  Banned for "Scamming using renamed items"

I mean yeah, we was banned on BP, but had no marking whatsoever on SR

Well, it depends. Anyone can simply get banned on bp.tf for just asking for it. However, if it's something like phishing, scamming or sharking that he's banned for, then yes. You may be in some serious trouble.

Is this the unusual you are referring to?

If so, here's the guy: http://backpack.tf/u/76561198072147319

yeah, that is the unusual i am talking about

You can report the guy who is trying to bribe you.

Also you are safe, not marked on SR and not even banned on Outpost.

Our guidelines are very clear: http://forums.backpack.tf/index.php?/topic/29027-guide-for-background-checks/

You should read our and outpost's guidelines carefully. It doesn't meet our specific requirements for a ban, but that user would probably qualify as an obvious alt on outpost, so I wouldn't be surprised if they deemed that enough to get you a 2 week ban. It's hard to say.

Why does it say you quoted my post?

Is no one going to talk about the guy who just tried to blackmail him to get a good deal? That's more fucked up than trading with some retarded scammer...

Dont let his blackmail intimidate you, if he wasn't banned at the time of the trade, its not like you knew he was a scammer

Has games on his steam acct, has been active in TF2 for several months, has been on steam since '12. Doesn't really look like an obvious alt to me, but could be a more subtle sort of alt :P

Steps that need to be followed.

1: SAVE the screenshots to your comp so you have them.

2: File a report on the guy who tried to blackmail you.

3: A -Trust on his bp(if it hasn't been done already) WITH screenshots, and links.

4: I think you're alright. Polar didn't smite you.

It wasn't included on the original edition of the post.

I like how he's on your profile now calling it a "fake screenshot" and again threatening to report you. We got a real winner here.
