So why was this suggestion accepted?

It's an uncraft, where individual sales tend to carry more weight. With the only other recent sale being within a scrap, I didn't see how it could be called an outlier. 1.55 was kept in range so the state of the unsolds meant little.

There are 5 sales, 4 at 1.55 and one at 1.33, how can 1.33 not be an outlier?

I admittedly did not think to look for a recently accepted suggestion. So I saw one sale each for 1.33, 1.44, and 1.55. With it being an uncraft and the negligible spread between the sales, I decided the speed of sale was irrelevent for the case.

 

If you feel the two week old sales are valuable, I encourage you to make a counter suggestion.

Even if it was a quicksell, it proves there's a market for 1.33 ref. If 1.55 moves slowly but does move, then it should stay.

According to that logic there's also a market for 1.22, 1.11, 1.00, 0.88, etc. even though there are no sellers for it.

This was one person selling, happened to be a quicksell, great let's put it in the range even though there's 4 sales (at least) at 1.55 within the 2 weeks.

This is one of those suggestions that could have gone either way. As Vincent said, single sales tend to be more important with rarer non-crafts. And the fact that it was recent may have helped despite its fast sell time. In such situations, the mods tend to follow the votes, and in this case the voters clearly thought the new range was better.

 

I agree with Vincent--if you think the older sales really invalidate the range, please make a counter suggestion.
