Looking for a cheap good gaming desktop

If you're upgrading from an existing one might be okay but it wont be anything near amazing, more of a okayish budget build.

If you're building from scratch you might as well save up some money and get something actually decent which will last you years rather than cheapen out now and then need to constantly upgrade parts.

That part picker seems pretty good and Do online prices go down on black friday?

An ideal build should run you $800-$1000. That GPU only has 512 MB while most modern games including TF2 recommend at least 1 GB. Black Friday sales are predominantly for peripherals and not actual parts.

You can build something pretty decent at the $500 mark with the sweet spot being around $800. And there are plenty of component deals on Black Friday as well.

@op don't bother buying anything under $300 (if you're willing to use Linux), or $400 (if it must have windows).
