Actually got a Beta of Win 10.  Its pretty cool,  took all the shitty parts of Win 8 out and merged it with Win 7.  Server 2012 gave me less of a headache than 2008.

It's the best Windows OS to come out so far, have you even used it (correctly)?

I have Windows 8.1 on my potato of a laptop. Very unstable IMO. Also a RAM hog.

if i say something other than 7, my OS will recognize it as criticism and will create a random boot error.

so 7

Windows 7 is great... too bad my potato of a laptop has Windows 8.1

*chokes on air*

- Everyone who has never used the OS / biased from the start / used it incorrectly.

^ It's not made for desktop computers, it's for tablets and touchscreens.

I have an 8.1 touchscreen laptop, it's awesome.

I agree with you. I used to be a Win8 hater until I got my laptop. Wouldn't want to go back to 7.

Considering I play PC on a desktop, Windows 7>>Windows 8/8.1

If I used anything touchscreen, probably Windows 8.1

What you two don't seem to understand is that Windows 8.1 is still very much so a good desktop OS, just because it's touch-compatible doesn't mean it's touch-only for a decent experience.

When I got this PC I was quite frustrated to see know it had Windows 8 when it was advertised as having Windows 7, however, after a few days I got pretty used to it. A few months later I wouldn't want to switch back.

The list of improvements is massive and greatly improves my experience, lots of useful shortcuts and functionality was added. Some articles:
