Sometimes I'll think of an idea for a strange part and I'll say to myself "hey, that's pretty good".  Then I just forget it later.  This topic is for listing your strange part ideas.

 

I'll go first.

 

Strange Part: Damage Prevented - Tracks how much damage you've cancelled out

 

It would go on weapons like the stock medi-gun which blocks 100% of incoming damage when the ubercharge is activated, and the bonk atomic punch which does the same thing.  It would also apply to weapons that have damage resistance percentages such as the vaccinator and the darwin's danger shield.

Just a thought, but like double kills and triple kills etc.

(you have to get 3 kills in a certain amount of time - then it resets) 

 

 

 

OR

 

a part which counts robots destroyed with the sentry gun. 

(as robot destroyed on wrench only counts robots destroyed with wrench itself not sentry gun - that would be most practical)

Strange Part: Allies Rescued

 

if a teammate takes over 80% damage or something from a single person and you attack/kill that person before they kill your ally, point for you

Strange part- Backstabs

 

You mean 'Crit kills' on a knife? :/

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

my ideas:

 

Promo wearers killed

Reflected Projectile kills

Assists (for non-medi-guns)

For Rocket Jumpers: Players Annoyed with Rockets

I want only one part, it's

 

Direct hit kills

 

Attach it to your soldier/demo primary, and count your sick quadriple airshot kills! Count scouts fed with your pipes! And so on.

I think what he meant was that when you get a kill shot with any explosive weapon, it always gibs the player who dies.  I think this happens with splash damage too though, so the gib kills part wouldn't be equivalent to direct hit kills with explosives in that case.

Headshots (no, not headshot kills, but actual headshots, mainly for spy and 150+ HP classes)

All individual robo classes killed parts

Sentrybusters survived (sentry, for wrench)

Mini-crit kills

Penetrating kills

Bomb-deploying bot kills

Health regenerated (Battalion's Backup, Black Box)

Critical damage dealt

Mini-critical damage dealt

 

I think a fair amount of these would have a chance to be in the game.

what, like a machina double-kill where the same shot goes through two players?  expanding on this idea, you could have a strange part for multi-kills.  you could put it on the machina and rocket/grenade launchers and it could count the number of times that you kill multiple players simultaneously.
