Just a small idea: Similarly to with the red triangle's introduction, I propose a similar icon (perhaps even in a different location such as in one of the top corners) such as a yellow question mark (or anything really) to indicate when an item has a current suggestion present. This would simply save the unusual suggestors a little bit of time if they can see "Someone's already looked into this," so that they don't waste any time with mini-suggestions if they don't need to. (Of course they'd still check that suggestion to verify that it's a legitimate one.)

It'd help with people suggesting a price change other than unusuals before realizing that there was already one open.

Doesn't it do that if you search the item at the top?  It shows current prices + suggestions on that item just a bit lower
