Getting rid of Unusuals without losing profit

You know about those hats. Those hats that you bought for a decent deal but is unable to resell again. Usually a little pricey. You are sick of that hat and how it is just sitting there not giving you massive profits. There are quickbuyers that would happily buy your hat for 50% of its value but you don't want to lose your hard-earned money as well.

Now, you really want to get rid of this hat. You also don't want to just throw your money away. What will you do now?

Sadly, you'll have to wait to see if you get it sold for as much as you want, or what you paid. Or for better unusuals valuing at or more then what you paid.

Or quicksell and accept a possible loss.

Realize that your decent buy may be closer to the actual value of the unusual than you had first thought. Be happy with it unless you took an unusual that you personally didn't like because you thought you could make profit off of it.

Rule of thumb: if you don't like it, chances are a lot of others don't like it either.

Offer it on a more popular hat that's 20% cheaper (than the top/reasonable range your hat could get), then sell that more popular hat for as much as you can get. You might get less profit, but easier sells means you can spend time on more hats.

I had the same dillema. Best solution is take mixed offer of 50% Unusual and 50% Pure. 100% pure offer is just hard to come by.

It's not like a decent mixed offer is easy to come by for pricey yet unwanted hats.

There's just selling at a loss and calling it a day.  If you can at least quicksell it (I mean a real quicksell, none of that 10% off shit) for pure, you can just wait around for an attractive quicksell to come along and then recoup at least some of your losses that way.  Either way, you're probably still looking at a loss, no matter what.
