Flat Buds

Buds have been at 19 - 20 keys for 3 months.  This is the longest they have been at any price by a factor of 3 (last yr it was at 22 for 1 month then dropped 1/2 a key.  I find this very odd for what is the most volatile item in the game.  Why has this happened?  Thoughts?

Edit: What does this mean?

It means they are stable for now I guess. :)

What kind of question is that?

"What does this mean?" It means they havent changed in 3 months.

Most items change price every other month this one historically every few weeks. 3 months makes no sense.

Buds are actually starting to drop, 20 just doesn't sell

19.5 is more accurate and has been true for awhile.

Too easy to get them at 19 now. I can see a 19 flat suggestion in the not too distant future.

Easy to get at 19? Last time it was nearly quicksell price.

Just something to keep in mind:

Last year there were no robo or third gen effects (until about now), so unusuals in general still had a decent amount of power as people didn't mind touching them as much as they were relatively stable and got decent offers more frequently. Meaning that people are happy with buds or unusuals--of course, 1 bud was still better than a 1 bud unusual--but a 1 bud unusual could realistically get other unusuals offers that were at least 1 bud.

Now, there are robo and third gen unusuals, which make up the majority of offers you will get. Both of these sets of effects are hell to sell so it ultimately turns people away from unusual trading--keeping a more constant demand on buds.

They are definitely very, very stable. 19 is probably easier, but 20 is still happening too. I sold one for 20 maybe 2 days ago and I wasn't even trying.

It is not the fault of the effects themselves but more the fact that there are now twice as many choices with new hats and new effects. Logically the reliability of unusual values would be in chaos.

None of that explains the situation with buds. Its value should be changing as it always has mainly up if what you are saying is true.

There hasn't been ny reason for buds to rise, and the value crash already happened. The fluctuations are within the current range.

It seems to represent a lack of energy (either direction) in the Unusual trade economy and yet since March 31  70,000 new keys have entered the market.  Since the New year almost 400,000 new keys have entered the market.  Crazy.

Its nice to have one semi-stable currency for a change.

Bills, but not everyone considers them currency.

Keys were stable for about a month @ 7 refined, but that was prone to change.

Keys are stable, ref is irrelevant as a currency therefore the key-ref ratio is irrelevant.
