Warehouse evidence

Counterproof from WH can be very effective (aka raise price of 0.33 to 0.33-0.66 when overstock @ 1090 credits).

What about using it as proof supporting suggestions? Would that work?

IMO wh is terrible proof for suggestions.

Its hard as hell to get any credits (considering their overstocked on virtually everything, and they undervalue keys).

Also, a lot of people will not deal with wh due to the shear annoyance. The last time i talked to someone who used wh, it took him 2 hours to get to the front of the queue. And people are nervous about dealing with wh in fear that it will eventually shutdown, and they'll lose all their credits. And its just generally hard to trade anything if you have stock tied up in wh because of how long it takes to get it.

Actually, keys have risen and the stock is plentiful. Shear is used incorrectly. Many WH bugs have been cleared out, trades happen in 5 minutes. Many quick ways of profit involve low credit items, so stock in can be low. Prices there are not determined by keys mostly, it is by reclaimed, one rec is 0.33282 refined, and a key is 4.28 refined.

I would not suggest using warehouse as proof. Why?

Firstly, getting in credits would be difficult as the level limits are full for most items. Cashing in metal might be what most users will do, however it only provides a small window period before the level limit is full again. TF2WH value of items are always below the market, so many would not want to devalue their item to the WH but instead sell it to other users for more profit.

Secondly, there is a trust system implemented. It controls the amount of items & value of the items you can sell to the WH. Not many users are on tier 12, & maintaining the trust tier might be an issue.

Thirdly, I believe the website is trying to keep up with the actual price in the market, so they change their value of the items almost everyday. A change of 1090credit ( 1rec ) could affect the lower valued items, but the next day, the price could shift again.

It could affect when someone wants to drop the price of a rare genuine or vintage. You could compare the price and stock levels on tf2wh and can conclude that it indeed can sell for current price. So I believe it is useful sometimes at certain items

I am on tier 12 but don't use the WH for the time being. Maintaining the tier is as easy as buying a crate every 2 weeks. No need to sell anything and it doesn't matter what value the item you buy has, there just needs to be at least 1 trade within 2 weeks.

The WH may have been another source of information to support a price suggestion under certain circumstances.

But as of late the new price admin is experimenting with stock levels and changing them "to give [him] a better idea of how many of the items flow in and out of the warehouse".

The consequence is, almost everything is massively overstocked because he suddenly lowers the stock capacity from e.g. 80 to as low as 10 (and below). As stupid as that is, imo, because as an admin he could/should just analyze the logs, it indeed makes the WH unusable / very unattractive and not a reliable source for market conditions.

Another thing to keep in mind is, that the WH used bptf price data for the automatic (dynamic) pricing. That is not the case anymore, at least not automatically.

But hey, never seen the queue so low and the success rate so high in the past.

It should. It depends on the proof being presented though. You need to know how many items have been sold (http://tf2wh-charts.chrishowie.com/ gives information that should help) and not just look at warehouse pricing and overstock.
