ZombifiedDuder
MAN. So, I've recently just gotten into the TF2 trading scene after seeing people on Steam forums accepting TF2 Keys for games... I figured I wanted a piece of that action. Now, that's not to say I haven't traded TF2 items in the past... I have. Looking back on it now, it was pretty tragic, now that I know just how badly I got ripped off.The trade went like this. I think it was sometime around 2013... a guy messaged me and said he was interested in my Summer Shades. Knowing they were a limited-time item from the summer sale, I figured they were worth a good amount... however, I also didn't know about websites like backpack.tf at the time, so I didn't check the price on here.Anyway, I asked him what he would offer me for them.Well, he offered me this:1 - Lime Green Breakneck Baggies1 - Lime Green Track Terrorizer1 - Lime Green Toublemaker's Tossle Cap 1 - Cremator's ConscienceAll of the items were normal. Well, looking up the price of all these items on the Official Store, I thought I was getting a pretty good deal... $30 worth of items for some promotional thing that I got for free? Sounded pretty alright. Plus, I used Scout a lot, and figured it'd be nice to have a full outfit for him. Hell, he even provided me with the gift wrap needed to trade the shades. It was only until just today that I realized I traded away those shades... that were worth a good 4-5 keys for a measly 10-15 ref worth of items.aaand, that's the story of how I traded away my one prized possession for worthless garbage. Remember, always check your prices, kids.
