Joke Train
So, as we all know, Strange Pain Train is priced at 0,22 ref, because of the low demand on it. But why does it have such a low demand? My need to know burns stronger than Tom Petty's voice (Good job me, you made a joke that nobody's ever going to get) Please tell me. Thanks and have fun By the way, please tell me if I posted this in the wrong section.

So every single trader plays exclusively on ctf_2fort and ctf_turbine?
Blatch
It's demand has actually been rising due to the new Strongbox Strangifier Chemistry Sets. Since it requires any Strange weapon, people have been snapping up the cheap ones in mass amounts to use as ingredients. Of course, once they stop dropping it will probably become cancer again. Joke Train
just read what cedar wrote. I've already read his post, and it didn't clear any of my confusion. Well, to be honest, it actually made me more confused. Yes, I get that the Pain Train doesn't benefit you on ctf, but it's still pretty much a direct upgrade when you can actually use it. Being able to cap at the rate of a Scout at the cost of -17 health (20 if you're a Soldier) is well worth it.

You need to take into account that on most maps pain train is useless and you basically take more damage for nothing. Practically all weapons in the game are better overall and the pain train is better in certain situations, the trade off for higher cap speed isnt worth the extra damage taken especiallly when the primary job of the demo/solly is do deal damage not to cap. Demo uses the pain train 90% of the time in 6v6, it's so useful it's not funny

Using the pain train in a pub essentially asking for people to kill you.
Joke Train
Pain Train's so useful it's not funny The usefulness of the Pain Train does not change the fact that you are beating someone up with a train. Seriously though, Pain Train is freaking amazing and more Demomen should consider using it

knavesmith
Demand is not low, it's actually getting higher. Supply < Demand Since the release of the new Series #3 Chemistry sets, scrap stranges have been rising in price since those chem sets require any 3 stranges, which makes the cheapest ones the most ideal to use. Because of this, the demand increases while the supply remains the same. This causes the prices to go up.
